“I knew in my heart that we would complete this journey. I have made new friends, met really nice people and tried some awesome food XD I have witnessed great acts of humanity, people along the way were actually standing outside their houses waiting for us to pass ot hand out food and water. Even just that act of kindness from total strangers made me realize that when you do good things, good things come back in return. A hug was given everyday, “I love you” was said naturally and smiles were constantly flashed on this journey. I walked for my ancestors, and the future generations. Because I know that they would never sell off the land. We are here today because of mother earth. I have never thanked the Creator so much in my life. Everyday was a gift. Almost everyday I experienced something new.
Standing up on the stairs, I looked at all the faces and thought our people are so beautiful! There is so much more I want to say….but I will end it here
