RFK Jr apologizes for Nazi-Germany analogy, publicly and to Sheryl Hines, regretting his wife suffering HW blowback

https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/megyn-kelly-rfk-jr-fauci-vaccines-big-pharma-kennedy-family/

This is the second part of the interview personally however I think it’s the more interesting part especially after having watched a lot of vaccine interviews in the last two years already…

It’s rare to see interviews produced which combine so many controversial topics and outright taboos surrounding the Kennedys still to this day.

Some is really so painful to watch – environmental royalty like RFK Junior shouldn’t have to suffer in the least from their commitment to integrity and courage – I was born in West Germany and I do not have a hard time seeing the parallelities that this incredibly accomplished civil rights defender has drawn – especially looking at my country of origin and the country where I live today – in both places the unvaccinated are the scapegoat of the hour.

We have no tolerance for other opinions and positions and we tolerate generously the tyranny of our governments – that needs to be called out and I thank Mr. Kennedy for doing that. To be offended is UNAmerican !

to speak the truth freely and without fear is what is American!

really takes 360 research to see it all fall into place. Everybody please listen to what he says about the assassinations of his uncle and his father. None of this charade is complete without a look at the details of that!

This is what surprised me:

How can we substantiate we had a pandemic when the test is fraud and doesn’t tell anything about infectiousness or disease?

We never did any autopsies until later in 2020 – we didn’t cross test for let’s say bacterial pneumonia or any other infections that could possibly cause lung problems and there are many especially looking at more than desolate housing conditions in many overaged and neglected neighbourhoods of Ottawa.

It’s unfortunate and a very lonely recognition, that I can tell that both of these two lawyers are lacking the understanding of molecular test technology, because once it sinks in that PCR tests are fraud it immediately becomes completely questionable if we even had a pandemic at all. On that I can only recommend live again Friday morning 6 EST EST the inquiries by the German corona investigative committee usually conducted and compiled by Dr Reiner Füllmich und Viviane Fischer.

Just over 1000 millioners with music streams, new Spotify report claims

Before we get into the new Spotify report that just came out today, quick reminder to catch up on the latest New Music Business podcast episodes, like the most recent episode How Trousdale Went from 0 to 1M Listeners in 1 Year Independently.

Alright! Let’s kick into the juicy juice that Spotify just released. Lots to dig into.

+Read this post (and comment) on aristake.com

Spotify just released their new Loud and Clear report today which profiled a lot of really interesting figures.

The three most surprising things that stuck out to me from this report are:

  1. How many DIY, self-released artists are earning from Spotify
  2. There were more musicians in 2021 making money from recorded music than in 2001
  3. Songwriters are actually making MORE money in the streaming era than in the CD era

Wait what?!

I know, I know. The talking points primarily from the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) spearheaded by David Israelite is that Spotify hates songwriters and doesn’t pay.

+Should Artists Boycott Spotify Like Neil Young

Unfortunately, many of the loudest voices in the industry over the past decade don’t quite grasp the economics of this new streaming era. And they intentionally like to complicate the issue and confuse musicians for their own agenda. Let’s not forget that the NMPA represents MAJOR publishers who are owned by MAJOR labels.

I think we can all agree that all we want is for artists and songwriters to have successful, long-term careers. And it seems, at least from the data, that streaming is helping in this pursuit.

Let’s unpack some of these revelations, shall we?

15,140 self-released artists made at least $10,000 from Spotify in 2021.

My biggest gripe with the 2020 Spotify report was that it didn’t separate the label artists from the self-released artists. So when Spotify says 52,600 artists made at least $10,000, previously we didn’t know how many of them were with labels or not. Now we do. 28% are self-released.

  • 203,300 Artists made over $1,000
  • 81,500 Artists made over $5,000
  • 52,600 Artists made over $10,000
  • 16,500 Artists made over $50,000
  • 9,500 Artists made over $100,000
  • 2,170 Artists made over $500,000
  • 1,040 Artists made over $1mm

Now to be clear, these figures are actually the number of artists whose catalogs generated both recording and publishing royalties.

In short, this is the number Spotify paid out for the artists’ work.

When it comes to label artists, we don’t actually know what the artist’s take-home amount is. Indie labels typically offer a 50/50 split. Major labels typically KEEP 82% – and of course only pay out their artists after they recoup their advance/expenses (which almost never happens).

But the self-released artists get to keep either all or most of their money.

DistroKid, Tunecore, Amuse all allow you to keep 100% of your master royalties. Others like CD Baby, Stem, AWAL, Symphonic keep a small commission between 9-15%. Some others work on a hybrid model like UnitedMasters, Songtradr, Landr, Horus where they give the artist the option whether they’d like to pay a small fee and keep 100% or distribute for free and give up a small commission.

+DistroKid vs. Tunecore vs. CD Baby vs. Amuse vs. UnitedMasters… Best Music Distribution Comparison

Spotify pays out 2/3 revenue to rights holders.

In other words, Spotify keeps about a 33% commission. For comparison, Apple Music keeps about the same. About 80% of that money goes to the master rights holders (record labels / Artists)  and about 20% goes to the publishing rights holders (publishers / Songwriters).

Why the discrepancy? Why do publishers and songwriters make so much less than labels and artists? Well, it actually has nothing to do with Spotify. It’s because the major labels want to keep it this way.

I think this split should be 50/50 – Publisher/Label (Songwriter/Artist). But of course the major labels don’t want to take a pay cut.

The Music Industry in the CD era favored superstars twice as much as it does today.

In this report, Spotify claims:

“At the peak of the CD era, 25% of US sales were accounted for by the top 50 artists. In 2021, only 12% of US streams on Spotify were of the top 50 artists — meaning that revenue opportunities now reach far beyond the biggest stars.”

Over 9,000 artists on Spotify have over 1M monthly listeners.

This is pretty nuts. I had no idea there were this many artists with over 1 million monthly listeners.

Also, 718,000 songs have over 1 million streams!

Songwriters earned more revenue in 2020 than they did in 2001.

The IFPI report notes that in 2020, publishers, songwriters and their Collective Management Organizations (CMOs – the orgs that collect publishing revenue around the world), earned $3.5 billion from streaming alone. In 2001, it was under $3 billion.

It makes sense, though.

In the CD era, CDs were sold to the public for around $18 at their peak around 2001. The record store would keep about 8 of those dollars (44%), the label would keep the rest (56%) and then pay out that money to publishers/songwriters and their artists (maybe).

On a 10 track CD, songwriters/publishers earned 7.55 cents per song in 2001. So in this scenario, the publishers were paid about 75 cents per CD sale. Which amounts to only 4% of the total! Which is insane.

Under the CD era, publishers made around 4% of the total CD sale. Now, publishers make just over 15% of the total streaming revenues.

In the CD era, labels kept about 56% of the total revenue.

The big issue, now, is if you’re a songwriter who didn’t get the hit on the record, you’re not getting an equal cut. Whereas before, in the CD era, if you wrote some deep cuts on the album, people were buying the full album. Now they’re only really streaming the hits. The money is in the hits now. So, hit songwriters now are earning far more than they did in the CD era. Whereas songwriters without a hit are earning far less.

Should songwriters earn more? Absolutely! Do I think labels and publishers should earn an equal amount from streaming? Yes. This will only happen if the major labels agree to it (which of course, they won’t, because that means they’d have to make less).

+11 Best Music Industry Podcasts for 2022

Lucian Grainge, the CEO of Universal Music Group (the most profitable record label in the world), made $200 million in 2021 – more than the total songwriting revenue for every songwriter in the UK. Come on Lucian, send a bit more of that the songwriters way, please.

There are 200,000 “professional” recording acts on Spotify.

Spotify notes (based on much of the criticism they receive) that even though 8 million people have uploaded music to Spotify, only around 200,000 of them are “professional or professionally aspiring recording acts.” Most of these 8 million people have only uploaded a song or two and have never played a gig..

This number is based on a few factors.

1) Do you perform live?
In 2019, 199,000 artists on Spotify played at least 1 gig.

2) Do you have at least 10,000 monthly listeners?
Spotify also notes that there are 165,000 artists with at least 10,000 monthly listeners

+Should Artists Boycott Spotify?

Spotify is willing to switch to a “user-centric” payment model.

Now, this is big. SoundCloud, Tidal, and soon Pandora are all moving towards what’s called a “user-centric” payment model. What this means is that if artists have fans who listen to their music a lot, they’ll get paid more.

Now, if a listener spends $10 on a Spotify subscription and listens to just one artist this month, that $10 gets split amongst EVERY stream on Spotify.

Under a user-centric payment model, those $10 would all go to that one artist (less Spotify’s 30% commission).

This would reward the artists with fans.

Many artists get millions of streams, making lots of revenue, but can’t sell 50 tickets to their hometown shows.

How is this possible? Well, songs get included on hot playlists all the time. Which in turn brings them lots of streams (and lots of money). But they have no fans. These listeners are just listening to the playlist, not choosing to listen to the artist specifically.

A user-centric payment model rewards artists with die-hard fans. It wouldn’t matter how many streams you get anymore. There would be no more “per stream” calculation. It would only matter how often your fans listen to you versus everyone else. If a fan paying a $10 subscription fee listens to you and only 9 other artists this month, you’d make $1 that month from that fan. If you have just 1,000 die-hard fans listening to you 1/10 of the time, under the user-centric payment model, you’d make around $1,000 a month in streaming revenue.

“We are willing to make the switch to a user-centric model if that’s what artists, songwriters, and rights holders want to do. ” – Spotify
Spotify told me directly that they’re willing to switch to a user-centric payment model, but they need the labels, publishers and artists to agree on that. Until the labels and publishers see that it won’t hurt their bottom lines, I have a hard time believing they’re willing to rock this cash ship.

+How To Actually Achieve Your Goals in 2022

2021 was the most profitable year for the music industry, ever.

Of the $25.9 billion the music industry made in 2021, $7 billion came from Spotify.

I do need to call Spotify on some shaky math that most likely isn’t accurate. Spotify estimates that over 50,000 artists likely made over $40,000 from streaming overall. This is some serious extrapolation math. Spotify says it accounts for over 20% of recorded music revenue. So, by including the other streaming services, they are estimating that 50,000 artists are earning another 4x what they earn from Spotify streams. (50,000 artists made over $10,000 from Spotify alone).

I highly doubt this is actually accurate. Most Western artists make the majority of their streaming revenue from Spotify. Even Neil Youngclaimed that over 60% of his revenue came from Spotify.

I’m assuming the other 80% of the recorded music revenue is heavily weighted in other territories with other platforms. And the artists that make up that 80% are not earning equal amounts on Spotify, just like how Western artists aren’t earning equal amounts on Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, Deezer, JioSaavn, NetEase, QQ, etc.

Media competency is essential in societies to stay democratic

False flags in Ottawa

Dear Maren,

When the Freedom Convoy set course for Ottawa two months ago, our government and the mainstream media seemingly worked in tandem to derail the conversation about the movement.

First, they downplayed the scale of the protest. Then they smeared it before finally unleashing the full force of the state to violently shut it down.

The truckers’ demands were simply to drop all the COVID restrictions and vaccine mandates.

But no one in government was interested in hearing them out or conceding that the pandemic policies enacted over the past two years had anything to do with the growing discontent among the people our politicians allegedly represent.

Early in the protest, as truckers began to arrive in Ottawa, several incidents involving inappropriate flags took place.

The first one involved a widely published photo of a mysterious truck parading a Confederate flag near the protest site. Then videos of a masked man carrying a custom Confederate flag surfaced online. And on another occasion, a Nazi flag was seen along the left side of the Château Laurier hotel near Parliament Hill.

Who were these flag-bearers, and what were they doing there?

Here’s what I found out during my investigation

What's the backstory of the inappropriate signs spotted during
the first days of the Freedom Convoy?

The whole thing is fishy — were these flags purposely staged to discredit the protest?

That’s precisely how they were used by Prime Minister Trudeau and the mainstream media in their public relations war against this peaceful uprising of freedom-loving Canadians.

What do you think? Was this a planned operation by the powers-that-be, and was it effective at turning public sentiment against the Freedom Convoy?

Yours truly,

Alexa Lavoie

Russia is not the boogeyman.

Russia NEVER had black slaves nor did Russia create a market to trade black people (1600-1800).

Russia NEVER participated in the Berlin conference to share Africa like some piece of goat meat (1884).

Russia NEVER colonised, underdeveloped and looted Africa’s resources (1914-1960).

Russia NEVER enabled a safety net for African leaders to hide stolen funds, use these stolen funds to develop itself and then grant the same funds back to Africa as loans.

Russia never invaded and destabilized any African country (Libya, Somalia, Congo, Burkina Faso, Egypt, South Africa, et cetera).

Russia NEVER killed any of African Freedom Fighter but UK and USA have killed hundreds of of our Saviours and thousands you of our African Freedom Fighters are still languishing in different prisons and dungeons all over America.

Who killed Marcus Garvey of Black Panther USA.

Who killed Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso.

Who killed Patrice Lumumba of Congo.

Who killed Malcolm X. Of Black Panther.

Who killed Mu’ammar Al’ Gaddafi of Libya.

Who killed Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Of African American.

Who Killed Tupac Sharkur.

Who Killed Fela Kuti.

Who Killed Stephen Biko of Bantu in South Africa.

Who Killed Solomon Mahlangu.

Who killed 5 million BIAFRANS.

…et cetera.

Those who did the aforementioned are the ones pushing the narrative that “Russia” has become the Boogeyman… Those who colonized and for about 100 years refused to share their technology with Africa want Africa to like those they like and hate those they hate.

Nah! Never again!

If Russia is the Boogeyman, then the west the devil himself ?

The West and Russia should find solutions to their problem. Enough of the killing of innocent Ukrainians. No to war.>>

Vaccine passport unconstitutional

– violating Canadians’ right to refuse medical treatment & the right to makeu “reasonable medical choices” without threat of criminal prosecution

Forcing Canadians to be vaccinated – a medical treatment under threat of prosecution (fines) violates Canada’s supreme law. Quebec and other provinces who are requiring  vaccine passports are violating Canadians’ right to refuse medical treatment & the right to make “reasonable medical choices” without threat of criminal prosecution.

Threatening to fine a person in Canada for not having a vaccine passport at a public venue or workplace amounts to the governments depriving Canadians of their constitutional rights under “threat of criminal prosecution”.

Section 52(1) of the Constitution Act, 1982 states that any federal or provincial law that is inconsistent with the provisions of the Constitution is of no force or effect. Statutes which conflict with the Constitution are invalid in the most radical sense; they do not become law.

Section 7 of the Charter is part of Canada’s supreme law – Constitution Act, 1982. Section 7. of the Charter states “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice.” Section 7 of the Charter requires that laws or state actions that interfere with life, liberty and security of the person conform to the principles of fundamental justice.

The wording of section 7 says that it applies to “everyone”. This includes all people within Canada, including non-citizens.

Section 7 rights and Canada’s supreme law are being violated by the conduct of a party other than a Canadian government body – e.g. the UN / WHO. The government need only be a participant or complicit in the conduct threatening the right, where the violation must be a reasonably foreseeable consequence of the government actions.

Canada’s Department of Justice states:

“The liberty interest protected under section 7 has at least two aspects. The first aspect is directed to the protection of persons in a physical sense and is engaged when there is physical restraint such as imprisonment or the threat of imprisonment (R. v. Vaillancourt, [1987] 2 S.C.R. 636 at 652), or state compulsions or prohibitions affecting one’s ability to move freely (R. v. Heywood, [1994] 3 S.C.R. 761 at 789). The physical restraint can be quite minor to engage the liberty component.”

s. 7 of the Constitution of Canada includes the right to refuse medical treatment & the right to make “reasonable medical choices” without threat of criminal prosecution.

1. Everyone

“All individuals physically present in Canada will benefit from the protection of section 7 (Singh v. Minister of Employment and Immigration, [1985] 1 S.C.R. 177 at page 202; Charkaoui (2007), supra, at paragraphs 17-18).”

2. Life, liberty and security of the person
(ii) Right to liberty

“Section 7 protects a sphere of personal autonomy involving “inherently private choices” that go to the “core of what it means to enjoy individual dignity and independence” (Godbout v. Longueuil (City), [1997] 3 S.C.R. 844 at paragraph 66; Association of Justice Counsel v. Canada (Attorney General), 2017 SCC 55 at paragraph 49). Where state compulsions or prohibitions affect such choices, s. 7 may be engaged (A.C. v. Manitoba (Director of Child and Family Services), 2009 SCC 30, at paragraphs 100-102; Blencoe, supra at paragraphs 49-54; Siemens v. Manitoba (Attorney General), [2003] 1 S.C.R. 6 at paragraph 45) This aspect of liberty includes the right to refuse medical treatment (A.C., supra, at paragraphs 100-102, 136) and the right to make “reasonable medical choices” without threat of criminal prosecution (e.g. fines): R. v. Smith, 2015 SCC 34 at paragraph 18. It may also include the ability to choose where one intends to live (Godbout, supra), as well as a protected sphere of parental decision-making for parents to ensure their children’s well-being, e.g., a right to make decisions concerning a child’s education and health (B.(R.), supra, at paragraph 80).” Department of Justice https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/csj-sjc/rfc-dlc/ccrf-ccdl/check/art7.htmlPosted on By Paul W KincaidPosted in News

BananaState of Canada tortures Tamara Lich with10 days of jail for instigating “mischief”!

Mischief is what the Chiefs rather miss. It gives a dictator a handle to silence other voices. The regime has no problem no scruple whatsoever under this gung ho hijacked Davos bought and paid for federal government, on a liberal ticket (!) to apply the good old Canadian club with ice cold calcule, decades of propagating virtue signalling group think trotting sheeple so far trumping all aces of the freedom loving super Canadians in the Convoy – if you are being approved in the court of public opinion like Trudeau still is amongst the majority of Canadians who do not understand that they are the lab rats in an experiment for genetic treatments whose toxic injections quite possibly might equip everybody with a microchip and a new genetic alphabet to now claim that body like a slave – then, you can get away with anything even torturing people which we watched the Canadian regime repeat before this time many of times,

How can the Sheeple look the other way blind to this utter lawlessness in the Canadian governments – I wish it were only the feds!

How is lawlessness OK, when the government is breaking the law?

How do you engineer into sheeples’ conscience the judgement the prejudice, “you got only yourself to blame – why do you go against the government ?”

How can we think of such dictation as acceptable in a democracy? Or do we not even any longer aim for that?

What exactly is the reasoning in those nodding crowds hiding on the couches thinking of themselves as reasonable (!). letting other brains decide what thoughts are in their heads instead of using the eyes creation gave us to form opinion – I mean why would we all HAVE eyes and ears?

The complete paralysis of the courts is another extremely dysfunctional, yet inevitably required element in the controlled demolition of northern American Societies through the pretence of a pandemic of a cold.

It’s not right but Davos wanted it so and looking at the entitlement amongst injection promoters and their outright and openly displayed attitude to be morally superior, Canada in fact does have a big problem with folks who think they’re better than somebody else. I’m talking about the people in the government and backing this government. Those are the real extremists and they have no tolerance for nobody.

The composure, class and Carizzma however emanating from all participants in the Convoy demonstrations as a conscious choice for a way of life is shattering the lies of this oppression like stones in the glasshouse – is this why you all didn’t go? You’re just fond of your hotHouse ? Or afraid of the view once it’s gone?

Canada is in a state of Texas now because if “you’re not with us well then ! screw you.”

What is probably the most missed element looking at those same government supporters is the fact that your rights only make sense if they apply in bad times for people you DON’T like because that’s why we have them so we don’t murder the people whom we don’t like but everybody just do their little thing and leave each other alone – that’s why we have rights!

If we don’t have rights we have only lawlessness, yet right now many courts and cops are completely failing on the job.

This is a desired outcome because if you do not expropriate the current owners you can’t install any new ones.

I’m gonna say this one more time: this country and its riches are being pulled out from under Canadians as it is the best tradition for any of the numerous traitor treasonous crime ministers that came before this one – and it all looks like it’s just gonna be like in the Joni Mitchell song because you don’t know what you got till it’s gone.

At least you’re gonna feel morally superior while everybody else is taking what is yours loading up their pockets while you starve, now that is Canada !

And that is was Canada has always been: an oppressive system to exploit the resources.

Decades of engineered mediocrity rewarding do no good bootlickers and jailing and career up ending whistleblowers, ursupating industries and hence controlling and rigging the markets with government subventions cemented in the expectation and the entitlement and gave never known penetrations of back room dealings frivolous expressions.

Canadians need to understand one thing really bad right now and that is that what they’ve got is a cheap third rate copy of what this place is supposed to be –

it’s a slave drivers idea of an economy.

Canadians however are not slaves and watch them smash their chains so powerfully – now that they understand finally what’s been holding them back for the longest time!

Canadian monopolies cement in censorship cold war style – taxpayer funded

Bank accounts remain under the random tyranny of the federal government of Canada even so, in the usual PR stunt fashion, drama teacher and crime minister of Canada, Trudeau Junior rescinded emergency powers some 10 days ago.

For people who are asking and many who came to ottawa to demand freedom and take it back for the capital still do:

how did we get here?

One has to understand that Canada is not a free market and there is no competition meanwhile the federal government controls market access and chokes the markets for no reason other than the power and the control that is related to that.

Seeing that Canadian policing HR is perfectly adequate with a tendency to overkill for community oversight and community policing as it is defined in policies, other than the racist and sexist bias and violent incompetency which is rewarded in the services, only not when a black chief of police has to stand for it, it’s astounding that Canadians in their overall majority still obey being herded like sheep into choices they didn’t make.

Looking at the violent, riot gear black uniformed thugs flying in from wherever who beat up and the RCMP horse trampling peaceful protesters in front of the running cameras of the independent media and thank the universe for them, in the most public space and the most sacred space between these three oceans, The parliamentary hill off of Wellington Street, this kind of humiliation and brutality, this empire style resorting to state violence and control mania rivalling the Nixon years if not surpassing them, destroying any social fabric with suspicion and second thought about your neighbour, made the desire for something more appropriate and modern than that ancient colonial oppression so.much.more.palpable, and the crowd grows as the yearning for true freedom becomes the liberation and explodes.

A simple tax boycott would set an end to this tyranny – regime perpetrators must be tried and sentenced, and then the next constitution could possibly leave some space for the minorities to live the way they want to – ringing in true individual freedom which would be a first in North America even so it’s the one place which is actually known for that.

Looking at any market, any industry, regulations favour big players for no reason at all other than the fascist collusion that is between big players and big government.

Best example is the nuclear industry which is a complete burden on energy supply finances to start with a conventional approach, a ticking time bomb in terms of the horrendously vulnerable tailing ponds in North America’s most sensitive habitats and freshwater tables, and it was really just adopted because nuclear fission produces weapon grade plutonium which does not occur in nature. In a place like Canada which constituted itself originally in sustainable settlements and healthy and plentiful, wealthy societies, with Hydro power potential for any high voltage generation desirable in manufacturing to see nuclear energy presented as a sustainable source of energy makes a mockery out of intelligence, and it is certainly the kind of packaging, vaccine injured, mask traumatized generations will have no means of questioning or disguising for the sellout that they are, hardly seen through by many otherwise well educated and experienced professionals.

When it comes to the information market, censorship is being cemented in the northern part of turtle Island and also here we are looking at an oppressive system keeping the market in a chokehold with big players getting their dealings delivered in the back rooms. I invite you to read the following email where sources are clearly stated at the bottom to illustrate this in detail:

Dear Maren,

Last week telecom competition in Canada took two steps in the WRONG direction. Bell just announced that they’re buying EBOX, the largest independent Internet provider in Quebec1, just DAYS after raising their mobile prices to match recent increases from Rogers and Telus.2 Once again, we see that the giant “competitors” we’ve got don’t compete to drive prices down — they join each other in pushing them higher. And there’s nothing we can do about it without the CRTC re-introducing fair wholesale Internet rates and meaningful MVNO competition.3

Too bad current CRTC Chair Ian Scott, who is supposed to be working to make our Internet affordable and accessible, is too busy having beers with personal friend Bell CEO Mirko Birbic to do anything about it. (See more below).

We CANNOT stand by and allow competition crushing companies and Big Telecom sycophants to dictate the cost of connection in Canada. That’s why we just launched a dynamite campaign to get a NEW CRTC chair that will fight for the people of Canada, and not just relax in the cozy pocket of Bell.4 And that’s just the start: we’re also gearing up to call for changes to the Competition Act to block competition busting mergers and buyout like Bell-EBOX and Rogers-Shaw.

But we cannot make it happen without your support. Ian Scott’s position as head of the CRTC is up for replacement or reappointment very soon, so we need to move FAST and keep the pressure high if we want to ensure he is replaced with someone who will fight for YOU.

Will you help us fight this long-haul fight?One-time DonationBecome a Monthly Ally

Last year it was revealed that CRTC chair Ian Scott is a long-time friend of Bell’s CEO Mirko Bibic, after they were awkwardly photographed taking a private lunch beer together. The meeting happened within days of critical regulatory decisions that could have lowered Internet prices for Canadians, but would have been bad news for Bell. Interestingly in the year after that private lunch, the CRTC changed their mind and decided they had “miscalculated” with the lower rates. Then they announced the CRTC wouldn’t be bothering to re-calculate the rates, instead choosing to simply revert to the extremely high numbers that suited Bell best.5

People are trying to hold Scott to account for this directly, but it has been an uphill fight. Earlier this month, a legal filing was made requesting Ian Scott recuse himself from participating in any matter where he clearly has a conflict of interest. Now the CRTC is saying they won’t even consider the question. They won’t debate whether Scott should have to recuse himself, and they WON’T be hearing from you about what you think on the matter. Instead, Ian Scott has chosen to “decide for himself” if and when his bias (and telecom friendships) are “relevant” on a matter-by-matter basis.6

This is ridiculous, and it needs to STOP.Canadians that Mr. Scott is meant to be serving are still paying some of the highest rates for Internet of any country in the world. And if you’re a Rogers wireless customer, more bad news – your prices are going up YET AGAIN.7,8

We NEED a CRTC chair that will work for YOU. But we cannot do it without sustained support. Canadians lose these fights because once telecom buyouts leave the headlines, corporate lobbyists continue working harder than ever, day after day, month after month, making sure that public officials that would fight for YOU are not appointed.

We need to be there fighting them the whole way –- and we rely entirely on our monthly allies to support long term fights like these. If you’re not already a monthly ally, will you become a one RIGHT NOW and help sustain the fight to get a new CRTC chair who will work for YOU? Become a Monthly AllyOne-time Donation

2022 is shaping up to be one of the most critical years ever for our digital rights. From new legislation around online harms that could bring us unprecedented Internet censorship, to growing privacy and surveillance concerns, and fighting for more affordable access to basic services, we’ve never had so much to fight in so little time.

These fights are only possible because people like you have stepped up to become OpenMedia allies. Over 70% of OpenMedia’s funding comes directly from individuals like you – which means we’re able to stay nimble and fight the fights that matter to YOU.

Thank you for standing with us.

For an affordable and accessible Internet for everyone,

Matt from OpenMedia,

P.S. Enough is enough. Either Canadians use this moment to finally stop our telecom policy being decided by backroom beers, or we acknowledge that Big Telecom monopolies always win, meaning high prices and slow speeds forever. Support our fight now and help us put citizens in charge.

The state of Canada assaults female reporter.

Moments ago, Trudeau’s police attacked our reporter Alexa Lavoie.

She was simply doing her job: documenting Canada’s shocking descent into martial law. She’s not a protester. She’s a journalist. But she’s not one of Trudeau’s journalists.

So when one of Trudeau’s cops spotted her today, he made a bee-line for her. He beat her with a stick, and he shot her in the leg with a tear gas canister. Take a look:

BREAKING: Rebel News journalist Alexa Lavoie attacked by Ottawa
police

Trudeau has a vendetta against Alexa. You might remember, Alexa asked the best question in the entire 2021 election debates — about why he doesn’t recognize natural immunity when it comes to Covid. Trudeau was so flustered by the question, he refused to answer her.

He’s never forgiven her for making him look like a fool.

So today he got his revenge — he sent an armed thug to beat up a woman.

I’m shocked. I hate it when any of our reporters are attacked. But it’s always worse when it’s a female reporter. She was targeted on purpose.

We normally have security for our journalists — but security doesn’t work when it’s the police that are attacking.

I spoke with Alexa and she’s in pain. I asked her if she would go to the hospital, but she insisted on staying on the scene, to document Canada’s descent into authoritarianism. She insists on finishing her job, despite her obvious injuries.

I salute her courage — she has a tremendous Rebel spirit.

I also promised her that I would sue the police for her, in an attempt to get justice. I don’t know if that’s a fool’s errand in Trudeau’s Canada. But out of sheer loyalty and support, we must try.

I just got off the phone with one of our lawyers, and it’s our plan to sue the government when the weekend is over. I’ll send you a copy of the lawsuit when it’s filed.

If you can help chip in to cover the cost of the lawsuit, please do — obviously we’re up against the combined resources of the entire police state.

I’m deeply troubled by what I’m seeing in Canada. But that’s the point — I’m seeing it only because of brave journalists like Alexa who show it to me, by being on the front lines and telling the truth.

Trudeau knows that, too, which is why he’s specifically trying to take out our reporters.

Help me help Alexa stay strong and defend her rights — please click here to help chip in to cover the cost of what will surely be a David and Goliath battle.

Yours truly,

Ezra Levant

P.S. I’ve never seen such brutal policing in a democratic country. Even when Rebel News sent reporters to Hong Kong it wasn’t this brutal. Canada has truly fallen.

P.P.S. The first step to regaining our democracy is to show people what’s going on. That’s why Alexa is so powerful — she tells the truth, and millions of people are watching her videos. Please help me help her fight back, by clicking here, or going to www.StandWithAlexa.com. Thank you.Rebel News Network Ltd.

RCMP email leak

Dear Maren,

A shocking series of internal messages written by RCMP riot cops have been leaked to the media.

The messages are in what appears to be on a WhatsApp group for RCMP marked “Social Musical Ride 2022”.

“Time for the protesters to hear our jackboots on the ground,” writes one member named Andrew Nixon.

That evoked laughter from other RCMP officers who jokingly said, “this is a kinder gentler RCMP”. Nixon replied, “OK, we can give out free hugs and unicorn stickers”.

Another RCMP officer named Marca referred to a shocking incident where RCMP riot horses charged into the crowd of protesters, knocking over and injuring an elderly lady. Marca wrote, “Just watched that horse video — that is awesome! We should practice that manoeuvre.”Nixon replies, “Agreed!”

Another officer named Derek Quilley posted a video called“police horses trample peaceful protestors in Ottawa”. Andy Leclair replied, “Wow”. Scott Peever said,“That’s awesome”. Chris Russell wrote, “We only think we’re living the dream”. And Andrew Nixon chimed in again, “That’s what we need to do.”

For the rest of this shocking story, and to see please click here.

I promise you, this story will not be reported on the CBC.

Yours truly,

Ezra Levant

P.S. In three weeks, the protesters did not engage in a single act of violence. Then Trudeau sent in his riot squad — and as you can see, they were lusting at the idea of hurting peaceful Canadians. This is a scandal that must see the resignation of Trudeau’s atrocious RCMP Commissioner.

P.P.S. If you want to support our independent journalism, we sure could use your help. Please go to www.ConvoyReports.com. Thanks.Rebel News Network Ltd.

Ottawa-South Councillor Diane Deans turfed

<<Council turfs police board leader Diane Deans amid trucker protest tensions

A political coup led by Mayor Jim Watson’s leadership core on council led to Coun. Diane Deans being turfed from chairing the Ottawa Police Services Board on Wednesday, which was Day 20 of the occupation crisis in Canada’s capital.

A whole term of acrimony that has been bubbling in council came to a head in the evening hours during a closed session of a special meeting and spilled over into the public portion. The “siege” of Ottawa, as so many people have described the “Freedom Convoy” occupation, has shaken city hall.

It was a meeting like none other during Mayor Jim Watson’s administration.

There was anger. Tears. Confusion.

A closed portion of the meeting broke out in bickering and screaming, away from the public’s gaze.

And when council returned to the open session, they continued the clash.

The target was clear: the leadership of the police services board.

Council, with a vote of 15-9, removed Deans from the board in response to its oversight of the police force during the protest crisis. The motion to change the board was presented by councillors Scott Moffatt and Laura Dudas.

Deans called it “ridiculously political” and she shot down claims that she breached conduct in leading the board.

An emotional Coun. Carol Anne Meehan, who was also targeted in the Moffatt/Dudas motion for removal from the police board, said she was “truly disgusted by the cheap political stunt.”

She narrowly survived the vote and would have stayed on the board, but right before the end of the meeting, she resigned from her position. Council didn’t decide on a replacement for Meehan on the police board.

In moving to replace Deans, the mayor and 14 councillors selected as their pick Eli El-Chantiry, who’s the former chair of the board. He’s been recommended to chair the board, though it’s up to board members to make that decision.

But that wasn’t the end of the drama surrounding the board and its work.

Coun. Rawlson King, the founder of the new anti-racism secretariat, resigned his seat from the police services board in the middle of the council meeting after he spoke in defence of Deans.

King said he was quitting the police board “since the mayor has a different vision of police governance in this city.”

Council appointed Coun. Jeff Leiper to replace King on the board.

Sandy Smallwood, the vice-chair of the police services board who was appointed by council, also tendered his resignation Wednesday. He declined to go into details about why he wanted off the board.

“The police governance model is set up for failure. And I think what this incident has done is brought it to the surface,” Smallwood said when reached earlier in the day. “It’s not set up to deal with an issue like this.”

Another former police services board member, Suzanne Valiquet, was proposed to take Smallwood’s spot.

Many on council seemed miffed that the board was angling toward hiring another interim chief from outside of the police force.

A city hall source said former Waterloo Region police chief Matt Torigian signed a contract for the top job in the Ottawa Police Service without a competition being held for the temporary position.

However, at the council meeting, Deans said it was a unanimous board decision to go with an interim chief and the move received support from the solicitor general.

Deans said the current Ottawa police executive command “is flying with one wing” and needs help, and fast, which is why the board accepted hiring a highly skilled interim chief. She said there would be consultation involved in hiring the next permanent police chief.

The police services board, not city council, has oversight of the police force and is in charge of hiring the chief and deputy chiefs.

Torigian, who couldn’t be reached for comment, became a deputy minister of community safety and correctional services in the Ontario government in 2014. He has been a distinguished fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs since 2018, leading an initiative on global policing.

Watson, who asked Deans to resign earlier in the day, said he didn’t agree with awarding a “sole-source contract” to an outside interim chief, one who Watson said would be “bringing a bunch of consultants with him.”

The mayor, who supports the leadership of current interim police chief Steve Bell, said he hopes the police board can somehow stop the hiring process.

Peter Sloly resigned as Ottawa police chief on Tuesday after another weekend of partying by occupiers at the foot of Parliament Hill, plus a continued encampment at the municipal baseball stadium’s parking lot on Coventry Road.

During the council meeting, councillors pressed Ottawa Police Service executives about how they’ll end the occupation, but the sensitive operational details aren’t being released publicly.

Police were ramping up for increased enforcement downtown ahead of the Family Day long weekend.

Bell warned council that techniques police are prepared to use to end the occupation aren’t what residents are used to seeing in Ottawa. He didn’t specify the techniques.

Bell appeared during the meeting before council duked it out over the leadership of the police services board.

Coun. Catherine McKenney, whose Somerset ward is one of the most impacted by the occupation, slammed the “gross negligence of what has happened in this city” and McKenney accused Watson of making a “power grab” for the police services board.

Kim Ayotte, general manager of emergency and protective services, said there have been 3,000 tickets issued in the “red zone” of the downtown occupation so far. He said more than 40 vehicles have been towed. He said the city has enough resources to handle bylaw enforcement related to the occupation.

Ayotte said bylaw officers “are ready and eager” to enforce the laws, but it’s a matter of doing their job safely.

City manager Steve Kanellakos recognized the work of city staff for “putting themselves in harm’s way” and not getting any recognition.

The council members who voted in favour of replacing Deans on the police board with El-Chantiry were Cathy Curry, Glen Gower, George Darouze, Jean Cloutier, Mathieu Fleury, Catherine Kitts, Allan Hubley, Jan Harder, Tim Tierney, Matthew Luloff, Keith Egli, El-Chantiry, Moffatt, Dudas and Watson.

The councillors who wanted Deans to stay on the board were Theresa Kavanagh, Riley Brockington, Rick Chiarelli, Shawn Menard, Leiper, Meehan, King, McKenney and Deans.

Keep trucking, y’all!

I cannot keep up with the amount of events unfolding – the most interesting certainly being that the ASMI nation will serve notice to the city of Ottawa and anybody trespassing on the unceded territory upon which Wellington Street is situated.

Let me show you this notice!

So what that means is, not the city of Ottawa nor the province of Ontario nor the federal government of Canada will have any say over what happens on Wellington Street and in the downtown area.

Furthermore, and here comes the kicker: everybody who is being threatened of being towed can join that unconquered nontreaty nation by self declaring. In fact, the city of Ottawa, the province of Ontario and the federal government of Canada are trespassing on them, the here born and here adopted indigenous Canadians.

Hidden knowledge. And well hidden and for good reason.

Here’s the letter from the chief:

Anishinabek Solutrean Métis Indigenous Nation (ASMIN)
We will ask the Truckers to post, serve and circulate our Notice of Trespass, and our Permits to park on our Anishinabek Land. which are forthcoming today.
Take names of anyone who defies the Trespass notice. They will be tried in our Indigenous Court, which could be held in the Supreme Court building on Wellington which is on our Un-Ceded land, if we demand it.
Go to SCC building, stand on lawn and look to your right to see large reclined Indigenous Man silently protecting Clan Mother’s Jurisdiction.

Alberta-Montana blockade make RCMP retreat

Moments ago, heavily-armed RCMP officers advanced on the 500 or so truckers who are blockading the Alberta-Montana border in the town of Coutts, demanding an end to vaccine mandates and lockdowns.

It was a stand-off.

First the truckers sang O Canada.

And then they chanted “freedom!”

All while the black-clad police stared at them.

And then the truckers advanced.

What could the police do?

Try to arrest them all? Shoot them?

In the end, the police turned — and retreated.

Click here, to watch the exclusive footage, filmed by our reporters Syd and K2, the only reporters on the scene:

Help Alberta Truckers

Maybe the police will go back to the negotiating table. As you know, Rebel News is crowdfunding an experienced lawyer, Chad Williamson, to help de-escalate the situation and represent the truckers. (You can help us support Chad’s efforts, by clicking here.)

But as soon as Chad arrived, instead of talking with him,the police abruptly cut off all negotiation, and threatened to arrest all the truckers.

Well, it looks like that didn’t work. Maybe the police will talk to Chad after all.

There’s a big problem here. In democracies, policing only works with the consent of the people. They have to win the trust and respect of the people; and the laws they enforce have to have the consent of the people.

But none of these lockdowns were passed in a normal democratic manner;and never before in Canadian history have health edicts, many of them nonsensical, been enforced by police with guns.

On any other occasion, these 500 truckers would likely be the most pro-police, law-abiding people in the community. But not when the police themselves stopped following our democratic norms.

Something’s got to break. But so far, it’s not the truckers.

We’ll continue to give you updates as the news happens.

If you want to support our journalists, please click here, or visit www.ConvoyReports.com.

And if you want to support Chad and the other lawyers we’ve crowdfunded for the truckers, click here, or visit www.TruckerLawyer.ca.

I wonder how history will look back on this moment. Will the Battle of Coutts be known as the moment where freedom was reborn in Canada?

We’re about to find out.

Yours truly,

Ezra Levant

P.S. I don’t know what will happen to these truckers. I believe them when they say they’re fighting for all of us. I also realize they are engaged in civil disobedience and they are defying police. It’s a tough one. But it’s easy to support them with a lawyer. Everyone in our society has the right to a lawyer; even the terrorist Omar Khadr had a lawyer. For me, giving these truckers the best lawyer possible is simply a matter of access to justice, and that’s something everyone can get behind. Click here, or go to www.TruckerLawyer.ca to help.

OPP: 2 million on the hill

The Ontario provincial police reported that there was about 100,000 trucks in the capital right now, an additional 2.3 million people on foot, and an abundance of trucks parked around town on various fields that farmers ploughed to accommodate the truckers.

The RCMP reported 130,000 trucks and 20,000 parked in the fields.

As for the Quebec side of the national capital region in Gatineau, downtown traffic was perfectly operational yet slow, as the Quebec Sureté moved to block the downtown bridges for traffic going into Ontario. Shortly after dark The most eastern bridge the MacDonald – Cartier bridge was opened in both directions and we saw the whole ramp covered in cars both lanes turning into three lanes with standing vehicles, standing their way all across the bridge into the Ontario sure covering it completely.

It is galvanizing to watch these machines finally turned against the stream.

Trucks have a special fascination and always will have because no matter what the fuel of the future is going to be

the fascination with a big shiny machine is never going to end as long as humans are humans.

It is very interesting to note how all this is organized on a somewhat free array of networks allowing for into action and two-way media where even the audience can participate in fact the audience can become the media at any time and now that many of us have these resources in place

the black out in main stream will not matter anymore

And in dependency crystallized union organizations have no significance nor do industry associations – in this convoy, the people rule, drive and oversee this event together

That is a complete topple of conventional and especially as ‘capitalist’ branded Western pyramid hierarchies organizing not only the military, the entire security sector the military industrial complex the IT and security industry alliance with the pharmaceutical industry but now also claiming exclusive and discriminatory access to the market, ram blasting small business and eradicating the middle class.

That new egalitarian complex network of relationships allowing for linear hierarchies putting together images that will forever be a thorn in the side of the narrative is a fantastic accomplishment in itself and with our breath held we cannot but keep watching.
